Jason Gill from the CPT delivered one the genomics workshops on Aug 3-4 at the 2019 Evergreen International Phage Meeting. The workshop introduced the CPT Galaxy and WebApollo and their usage for phage genome annotation. The workshop was well attended by ~50 researchers from academic institutions and companies located either within the US or from countries such as Germany, Brazil, Denmark, Canada, etc. The workshop ran successfully and positive feedback was received. The CPT has gained valuable experience in perfecting phage genomics training materials and streamlining and automating the Apollo Organism creation process for training purposes.
