Ashley Holt, the undergraduate student researcher and a past Beckman Scholar working at Young Lab, presented “Phage phiKT Gp28 Enables Explosive Lysis of E. coli and Defines a New Class of Lysis Proteins” as a poster at 2019 ASM Microbe (June 2019, San Francisco). For this submitted work, she received the Division M Roche Award for Best Phage Abstract and gave a talk at the Division M business meeting and award ceremony.


Cody Martin, 2018 Beckman Scholar working at Young Lab, presented “Molecular, genetic, and biochemical analysis of the PhiKT disruptin: A new class of lysis proteins” as a poster.

Dr. Jolene Ramsey received the Peggy Cotter Early Career Branch Member travel award for her excellent research work.
