The CPT has been building the infrastructure and resources to be the world leaders in phage annotation using the open-source Galaxy and Apollo platforms since 2015. In our latest manuscript, published this week in PLOS Computational Biology, we describe in detail the tools and workflows that are the mainstays for all phage annotation efforts here at the CPT. This big picture view, coupled with new explanations for the individual tools we have written, brings together a great resource for understanding how to best take advantage of all the CPT Galaxy-Apollo bridge has to offer. We look forward to seeing more users discover and use the CPT Galaxy and Apollo platforms for phage annotation. Happy analysis!
