Registration:
Please register at the on-line registration site beginning September 25. The Symposium, including food, is complimentary to registrants for the Texas ASM meeting and to all undergraduates; nevertheless, registration is still required. A $25 registration fee is requested of all other attendees. On-site registration will be available, however we ask that participants register on-line by Tuesday, Oct. 17 if possible.
Abstracts:
The Symposium organizers encourage research presentations from all levels of scientists and scientists-in-training, including undergraduates. If you have a poster for Texas ASM already and you think it might be interesting to the phage community, consider submitting your abstract to TexasPhage. Note that phage biology is, at its fundamental root, bacterial cell biology. It is not necessary that your work be directly involved with phage to be interesting to the phage community.
Submit abstracts as an attachment in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) by email to the Symposium secretary, Mrs. Daisy Wilbert (daisy@tamu.edu), with “TexasPhage abstract” in the subject line. In the body of your email, please indicate if you want to be considered for a short talk (15 min) or only for poster presentation. The abstract should be formatted with 1 inch margins, Arial 12 pt font, and no more than 300 words in the main text, as shown in this abstract template. Posters should be no more than 48″ wide to fit on the poster boards provided. We ask that abstracts be submitted no later than 5:00 pm, Friday, Oct. 13 to be considered for an oral presentation; poster abstracts may be submitted up to Tuesday, Oct. 17.
